School Information

Emphasis in all of our courses is on communication achieved through active student participation. All classes are conducted in French, giving you maximum exposure to practice the language. Small classes are standard to facilitate communication. All our teachers have native speaker fluency.

  1. All those registered for classes must have current membership in AFSR. Please see the rates.
  2. Overall, our classes average 5-6 students per class with a maximum of 8 students.
  3. A minimum of 3 students per adult class and 4 students per children’s class is required for a class to take place.
  4. Registration in any class is taken in the order received until a maximum of 8 students has been reached.
  5. All classes must be paid for at the beginning of the session. (Please reserve a seat in our classes by contacting the Director and/or paying online)
  6. For sessions of seven to nine weeks, AFSR will prorate a maximum of 1 class if a student informs the teacher of missed classes before the session begins.
  7. AFSR will not prorate for missed classes other than what has been specified above.  We do not offer refunds.

Tutoring (private, semi-private, or families) for adults and children.

  1. All those registered for classes must have current membership in AFSR. Please see rates.
  2. Sessions last one month ( 3 classes minimum), with the exception of Christmas and summertime when somewhat more flexibility can be afforded.
  3. All classes must be paid for on the first day of class (We encourage online payments)
  4. AFSR will prorate for tutoring, and make-up classes are available at everyone’s convenience but only if notice is given 24 hours in advance to the teacher.
  5. Make-up classes for lessons are available when both student(s) and the instructor have agreed to postpone the scheduled class at least 24 hours ahead of time.
  6. AFSR does not offer refunds.

The CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) is used in all institutions of learning and major organizations throughout Europe and in much of the world.
